Q: Is travel or lodging covered for volunteer event assistants?
A: Assistants are still responsible for their own travel and accommodations. However, ride-sharing and accommodation-sharing is pretty popular amongst attendees! It’s a great way to save on costs and continue to build relationships.
Q: I want to be considered for selection as an event assistant, but I’m unsure yet if I can make it to the event. Can I still apply?
A: Although we understand things always come up and sometimes plans fall through, if your application is selected, we do need event assistants to be committed for the dates of the conference. We rely on your commitment to make the event magical! Applicants will be notified if they are selected, and those who have been selected from the applicant pool will have until March 24 to sign up and commit to attend. So there’s some time to decide if you can make it!
Q: Can we choose our assignments or tasks?
A: Floral pros know all about having to stay flexible: Flower inventory can change as fast as the weather, and big events often have unforeseen surprises! Because of this, volunteer assignments may change on the fly based on specific event needs. We’re looking for event assistants who are flexible and willing. However, if you’re selected and need a special accommodation, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
Q: What do I need to do to be considered for a discounted event assistant registration?
Q: I’m not for sure if I should invest in attending the Team Flower Conference or a workshop instead. Which one is best for me?
A: Of course we’d love to see you at both, but check out this article first to know if the Team Flower Conference is what you’re looking for in floral education, professional development, and relationship-building/networking!
